April 25th: UNH Solar Fest, from 11am-7pm, UNH’s Student Environmental Action Coalition will be hosting another spectacular event with live music, vendors, workshops, and activities. A great day to schedule for Earth Day celebrations!
April 24th: Plymouth State University’s 3rd Annual “Earth Jam”, join us at this spectacular event hosted by the student sustainability organization as they gather the students, the teachers, and townies for an afternoon of celebration. Live music, local bands, and vendors will entertain the day, 10:30-10pm.
April 21st: EPA – NE 8th Annual Green Expo, from 8-4pm outside the EPA building in Boston, the expo is a vendor fair designed to educate the purchasing decisions of EPA staff, other federal agencies, and the general public.
April 17th: 3rd Annual Spring Into Healthy Living Expo & Earth Day Festivities , from 10-2 the Concord Food Coop will be hosting this wonderful Earth Day event which includes over 70 vendors and farmers, free food, and activities all under the tent in their parking lot, across the street from RGG. We will be hosting a Truck Load Sale on all Drying Racks, 25% off, in our parking lot, along with local vendors and vegetable seedlings for this years gardening needs.
April 17th: 3rd Annual Greenerborough Expo & Festival, from 10-4, in downtown Peterborough, NH
September 19th: NHAD State Conference, from 8:15am-8:15pm at Southern New Hampshire University, Hospitality Center. Marie Desrosiers, Vice President of NHAD, and an avid support of Real Green Goods, hopes to educate hers peers this year on ways to become more “green”. She has asked Real Green Goods to help her promote our mutual respect for the health of the environmental and its inhabitants.
September 17th-21st: A Touch of Color: Clotheslines In The Capital, ” Downtown businesses in Concord, NH, will be asked to display a clothesline in their shop window. Project Laundry List will also display a series of clotheslines in front of the State Capitol to promote their mission of making air-drying and cold-water washing laundry acceptable and desirable as simple and effective ways to save energy.”
September 1st: NH DOT Wellness Fair, from 9am-2pm, a state run Health Fair for state employees.
August 21st: Dinner on the lawn, from 5-8pm on the State House lawn in Concord, NH. Sponsored by Green Concord, Youth Venture presents their first ever Dinner on the lawn for an evening of local food, games and live music by Brooks Young Band. Mingle with New Hampshire’s young change makers and learn how they serve your community. Tables of socially responsible businesses will line up displaying information and merchandise, while a silent auction offers the opportunity to support Youth Venture’s efforts to inspire additional youth to make positive social change.
August 1st: Second Annual Feel’n Top Notch Outdoor Expo and Wellness Fair, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Cannon Mountain Peabody Lodge at Franconia Notch State Park in Franconia, NH
July 16th-18th: Main Street Concord’s 35th annual Market Days & Summer Music Festival, Thursday, July 16 through Saturday, July 18 in downtown Concord. This popular festival runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and features great shopping and food with a variety of booths. There’s fun and entertainment for people of all ages –and great bands on the Main Stage each night. Market Days also gives area non-profit corporations the opportunity to educate the public about their services. Shop, eat, play and enjoy Concord’s largest summer festival.

July 11th: Real Green Goods 2nd Anniversary Celebration, from 11-3, we will be having invited vendors like Cottonfield and Pear Tree, and giving away bars of Vermont Soap and Stonyfield Yogurt, plus music, and discounts to help celebrate being in business for 2 years. Stay tuned…!
June 27th-28th: Concord’s First Annual Bicycle Swap, from 9am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-1pm on Sunday, hosted by S&W Sports, this event is to benefit Central NH Bicycle Coalition, funding bicycle programs & projects in the Greater Concord area. Donate your bike or consignment for 25/75.
June 20th and 21st: Rhubarb Weekend, Sharing Rhubarb at Real Green Goods. RGG will be giving away bundles of Rhubarb and handing out recipes for this unusual plant. Do you have too much rhubarb yourself? Then bring it on down. Never pick more than a third of the plant, pull the stock out instead of cutting. And yes, there is a web site devoted to rhubarb.

June 20th: Strawberry Jamboree, from 10am-5pm, “A celebration of the Canterbury Shaker Village’s longtime love of strawberries. Strawberries and strawberry plants for sale. Strawberry shortcake and sangria available. Garden and craft vendors. First Annual Strawberry Jam, open-mike musical jam session.”
June 13th: Market Square Day, from 9am-5pm in Portsmouth NH. On average, 100+ vendor applications are approved/accepted for inclusion in the festival. Three performance stages feature local and regional musicians. The day ‘kicks off’ with the Market Square Day 10K Road Race.
June 6th: Strolling of the Heifers Parade, Dairy Festival & Green Expo, from 9am-3pm in Battledore, VT, Featuring the Miss VerMOnt heifer judging, food vendors, exhibits, demonstrations, petting farm, fiddlers tent, Vermont cheese pavilion, celebrity milking contest, and much more! At the Green Expo, learn about green living techniques: energy conservation, recycling, sustainable building methods, and more!
June 1st: NHBSR Spring Conference, a proud member of New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility, RGG will be attending their Annual Spring Conference, here in Concord, NH at the Grappone Conference Center.
May 11th-15th: Green Commute Week, hosted by our local PATH (Program for Alternative Transportation and Health, this week long event, with daily gatherings and giveaways, is an awareness campaign to the environment and personal health benefits to commuting “green”. The Daily Themes are: Carpool, Bicycle, Transit, and Walking, with the concluding day celebrating our National Holiday, Bike-Walk to Work Day, with special guest, Governor John Lynch. The NH Bottle Bill is Back! There will be Subcommittee work session on HB283-FN, (establishing a solid waste management fund and assessing a beverage container fee) on February 5th at 2:45 p.m. in Room 308 at the Legislative Office Building (LOB) in Concord, NH for those interested in attending. This is a chance to increase the amount of bottles and cans that get recycled in NH and drastically reduce the trash going to our landfills. All the other New England States and New York already have a bottle bill. You can help make this happen. Contact your local NH Representative

December 5th: is Midnight Merriment, and YES, we’ll be open ’til Midnight! (Isn’t that the point?) Pedestrian traffic only! North Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from Pleasant Street to Center Street for festivities including caroling, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and the warmth and hospitality of locally owned Main Street businesses. Come inside and join us at RGG, sample organic cookies and a warm holiday brew of organic tea, and celebrate the holiday season. Commonly known as “Black Friday”, Green Friday offers you the opportunity to support your local independent retailers by shopping downtown at participating stores rather than at malls.
