Dear Reader,
At Real Green Goods, we attempt to provide earth-friendly products with the lowest impact to the earth and its inhabitants. With this in mind, along with so much recent publicity about plastic, we would like to share some "Plastic Bottle Recycling Facts"...
|
 |
Plastic Bottle Recycling Facts!
|
- In 2006, Americans consumed water from 50 Billion plastic bottles.
- 1.5 Million barrels of oil per year are used to manufacture these plastic water bottles; that's enough to fuel 100,000 cars for one year
- 8 out of 10 plastic water bottles become
landfill waste and take 700 years to start to
decompose (some estimates say 1000 years).
- In 2006, we spent $15 Billion dollars on bottled water. Factoring in packaging and transportation, drinking bottled water costs up to FIVE times more that putting gas in your car.

Green Tip |

Klean Kanteen stainless steel water bottles provide an eco-friendly option when choosing a container that is safe for consumers and for the environment. Stainless steel can be re-melted and recycled 100%, and approximately 65%-80% of stainless steel "scrap" goes into the making of new stainless steel. We offer several styles and sizes of the Klean Kanteen stainless steel water bottles from which to choose. These durable bottles are a wise environmentally friendly option when glass bottles are not
practical. |

We would like to remind you that we guarantee our products at Real Green Goods. Many of our suppliers are also new as we all search for greener solutions. Any feedback that you wish to give, either positive or negative, is always welcomed.
Thank you for reading and for caring about the environment. And, as we say at Real Green Goods. Have a Green Day!™
